Ernst Rudolf Schloeßmann Foundation

The purpose of the Schloeßmann Foundation is the encouragement of international meetings of students and scientists at scientific events, and in particular, the promotion of the Max Planck Society's members at international scientific exchange. Moreover, the promotion of young scientists is one of the foundation's peer mission. Institutes of the Max Planck Society may check the eligibility of their planned event at the Harnack House by the Schloeßmann Foundation.

If co-financing of the event by the Ernst-Rudolf-Schloeßmann Foundation is to be requested, a corresponding justification for meeting the funding criteria (promotion of young scientists or promotion of international scientific exchange) must be attached to the application. In the case of a co-financing commitment, 40% of the costs for room rentals, conference technology, and conference packages for MPG employees will be covered by the foundation; the remaining 60% will be billed to the organizer by the conference venue. Alcoholic beverages and costs for external guests will not be funded.
